Full Job Description 


Make & Brew is a thriving and well-established coffee shop and creative space with a strong community ethos at its heart. Based in Upper Shirley in Southampton and having outgrown our first premise, we are expanding into a beautiful, new cafe space and are looking to grow our team! 


We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic food preparation manager to oversee our menu and manage the running of food service on a day to day basis.


Duties and Responsibilities 


  • Overseeing and taking responsibility for ordering and stock management 

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Prepare all food items directed in a sanitary and timely manner

  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications

  • Maintain a clean working station

  • Assist with cleaning of kitchen equipment

  • Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards (including extra procedures and routines in light of government guidance and advice)

  • Influencing and overseeing menu additions and changes


Additional Duties


  • Recording food temperatures 

  • Efficient date checking and stock rotation
